Another heavy banger from one of our favorites, who is originally from New Zealand. This is a new leak off his forthcoming album Something Awesome, which will be digitally available in the US after August 31st.
This record was dope. Not only was the beat hot, but the Game and Jaz-O also laid down some crucial rapid-fire lyrics. My only complaint is that I wish the song was longer. I’m not going to get involved in all the drama surrounding Jay-Z, Jaz-O, and The Game, but this track definitely gets my stamp of approval.
Okay, so I will admit that I originally passed on this song after viewing the artwork and song title. Despite my initial hesitancy, I took and few minutes to listen to the record and was pleasantly surprised. First off, this “G-Mix” features the vocals of Tek (from Smiff-N-Wessun) and Richie Sosa over The Alchemist’s “Tick Tock” beat which was an original sample of Side Effect’s “The Loneliest Man in Town”. The original sample by Side Effect is one of my favorite old school jams. The beat is so mellow, yet the lyrics to the song are filled with so much conviction and meaning. Given my love for the original, I was slightly biased against this new version by Tek and Richie Sosa. Luckily the two managed to hold their own and produce a track that is well worth a download or at least a few spins. Apparently this track will appear on Tek’s “I Did It My Way” project which is a prelude to featured his 24K Smoke album.
Sweet sample on this track and there is definitely an African vibe on here. Where these leaks come from I don't know, but I'm always thrilled hear another Wale track. This smooth track will definitely be played in the whip.

I been a fan of Jackie Chain ever since that "Rollin" track I heard him do with Cudder. But, for real I never what of thought he looked the way he looks when I first heard the track. Dude is a like a half-asian Paul Wall and you know what....I mess with it. Spotted this on DCtoBC and the video for this song he hella ghetto so I didn't throw it up and I had to search a hell of a lot to not find a ghetto picture either. Dude needs a lil management and he'll be perfect, and I agree with Modi he needs a haircut.
The Canadians keep coming with it, here is a pretty dope track from Element featuring Promise who was rapped on several Drake tracks back in the day. Colin Munroe brings amazing vocals on this track, and he has consistently been making some really dope songs with hip hop songs with artists from his mixtape to the last song he did with XV he has a really nice crossover sound. This is definitely another one for the rotation.
Seriously, the drum beats on this one are a problem. This right here is the first leak off Donni's next mixtape "Diary of An Atlanta Brave" in conjunction with 10 Deep dropping August 20th. Crazy production will be on this project ranging from Needlz, Tha Bizness, and Justice League. Be on the lookout...
XV is staying on his hustle, fresh off dropping the well received mixtape in "Everybody's Nobody" here goes another dope track. On this cut, he brings along Tiron and the result is pretty dope. What's on your To Do List?
I think it is safe to say that Hamilton is back to making music and streaming it to the webworld, the right way this time and now all up in your face. This time he brought his homie Tufi with him for a really dope track in "VH1 Storytellers" cause the dude definitely holds his own.
So this tandem, as mentioned before, is currently in the top of the standings of a Explore Talent contest, with the hopes that they'd soon be able to open up for the likes of Akon, T-Pain, Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo, and Flo Rida. See now this is how it should have been done. Mr. Hamilton should have been leaking gems here and there and not all at once, because now he got me waiting to hear more! I'm gonna say it for the 100th time, despite all of the times this guy has messed up. I still believe he has a lot of heat and will prove a lot of non-believers wrong. His lyricism is amazing and dude can be deep when he wants to. Here is another example of a track where he actually has something to say is not wasting his time bullshittin.

Slowly and steadily, Cayan (Ky-ann) is proving himself as an up and coming act in the DMV. On this track, Cayan goes on his smooth tip even putting his singing skills on the record with a beat by Soulful that is reminiscent of some old Ye with sampling on that "Girls, Girls, Girls" vibe. Cayan always stands out to me because he loves some wordplay and here and there he got some gems that always make me crack a smirk from the wit he got. Listen midway into the 1st verse for some examples. A solid track from the young act, I can't wait to hear what else will be on his EP The Protege coming soon!!
Universal Motown will put together 20 remixes of Michael Jackson made the industry's top production acts. So far five of those renditions have been released which you can find below. Although I am very excited about this project, I still wonder why this homage could not have paid when the great artist was still alive. I know Akon, Yeezy and Will.I.Am worked with him, but it just was not done right and it went pretty much unnoticed in the end. Nevertheless, let the great king leave on with the tracks below:
I posted some performance footage of this track last week and I'm glad the mp3 finally came out. Have you ever wondered why Factz wears the leather gloves during his performance or why the veins put out his forehead when he spitting??? Its cause he is a Rocker maaaan. I'm serious, this is the track that is featured in the new Fight Night 4 video game. Good song right here to get hype to!!!

The club hoppin crew of Fool's Gold decided to put their golden disco touch on Kid Cudi's hit "Make Her Say" and the result is nothing short of funky. Afrojack really did his thing on this track, they are usually known for their Dutch House tracks. More remixes will come up soon. Wattup DP! Mr. London and Boykins have teamed with the electro-inspired producer Machine Drum to redo the heartbreak classic released on "This Charming Mixtape." This is a totally different feel on the song, yet the message still remains and the result remains amazing. Definitely worth the download.
