So I'm sure I wasn't the only one who, while watching Game 1 of the NBA Finals last night, was watching in suspense as the Boston Celtics took the game against the Lakers. Up until midway through the 4th quarter, it was a battle between the two teams, as they crashed the boards, contested every shot, looked for the open man, and downright hustled on every play. To me, though, the X-factor was Paul Pierce who shifted the momentum of the game by hitting two key three-pointers even after the dramatics of the third quarter, during which he hurt his knee and had to be taken out on a wheel-chair. His willingness to come back even after this apparent injury and those key three-pointers sealed the deal for the Celtics, as they pulled off the 98-88 victory. The next game is scheduled for Sunday, at 8:30 pm.
