. May 19, 2008

Apparently, with the help of Hype Williams, N*E*R*D is slated to drop a movie later this year. This is the information gathered from SOHH:
Christmas may come early for N.E.R.D. fans, as the group preps the release of their first feature film this December, directed by legendary hip-hop video director and filmmaker, Hype Williams.

While on New York radio station Hot 97 recently, N.E.R.D. front man Pharrell Williams revealed to host Angie Martinez that the band is gearing for the release of their first film. The movie, which is not yet titled, will depict the trio's musical journey from the recording process to tours.

"[The movie] is going to be like The Beatles' Hard Day's Night," Pharrell revealed. "[It's a] full length film. It's for our fans."

In addition to the movie, N.E.R.D.; which is comprised of Pharrell and Chad Hugo of super production duo the Neptunes, and their partner Shay Haley, the alternative rock/hip-hop band are prepping the release of their third studio album Seeing Sounds. The set's first single "Everyone Nose" just came out featuring actress Lindsay Lohan. The paparazzi queen plays a woman who is denied entry into the N.E.R.D club.

"Lindsay is a fan of the music," said Pharrell and Chad. "She's super talented. She can act and she actually can sing. Her, Samantha Ronson and that whole crew are all nice people. They just get the bad end of the stick sometimes."

N.E.R.D.'s Seeing Sounds is slated for release on June 10.
