Curren$y...

. Apr 8, 2008

For those of you who are not familiar with Curren$y (Da Hot Spitta), you are definitely behind. The New Orleans native was originally affiliated with No Limit Records and C-Murder's Tru Records until 2002 at which point C-Murder's 25 year to life sentence was rendered. After taking a brief hiatus to pursue design and skateboarding, Curren$y hooked up with Lil' Wayne and was eventually signed to Wayne's Young Money Entertainment label in 2005. Curren$y was featured on Wayne's Dedication 2 ("Where da cash at?") and The Carter II ("Grown man"). He also released a mixtape entitled "Life at 30,000 Feet" in the Spring of 2007. Unfortunately, due to a lack of promotion from YMT, Curren$y recently left Wayne's label in December of 2007 and signed to Fly Society. His recent mixtape releases include "Independence Day" and "Higher than 30,000 Feet". For information click here. Also check out some his mixtapes below:
