This electropop synth duo made some big moves with their first single "In For the Kill" and they are making more noise with their next hit "Bulletproof" which is a track about heartbreak. I know what you are thinking. Damn this girl is oogly ( I concur), but they make some amazing sounds on the electro tip. Just listen to this smooth remix.
Bag Raiders are an ill electronica/disco group from Australia (don't forget about our other fav. Aussies "Empire of the Sun" and I got to say I am completely obsessed with their song "Shooting Stars." This group has worked with several respected artists like Cut Copy, Calvin Harris, Chromeo, Kid Sister, and more! The original "Shooting Stars" track which can be found here starts out with a vibe that is perfect for a nightdrive and slowly builds up into an amazing breakdown with synths and positive energy about halfway through the song.
Yesterday I came across this remix on RCRD LBL, that I got to say is very consistent with the remixes, and I got too happy. Bag Raiders have credibility but their sound has not spread yet. I'm predicting that this will be one of those electronica groups that will garner plenty of attention, especially with the re-release of their single "Shooting Stars" coming on August 14th with plenty of remixes including the one below. The Shazam Dub Mix is a very upbeat take on the song filled with retro disco-inspired beats. So enough talking....get the song.

Back in the winter....I was obsessed with two tracks I heard from Ghosthustler:
So here and there I like to bump some other genres, mostly electro and a mild dash of rock. The Black Kids are like that perfect mix, as some of the tracks on their LP "Partie Traumatic" almost sound like something N.E.R.D. would make especially their newest single "Look at Me (When I Rock Witchoo)." I was deep in Cut Copy as their cd "In Ghost Colours" is arguably one of the best CDs of 2008, and the lead singer of Black Kids sounds strangely close to the lead singer of Cut Copy. The Black Kids got their big break with the song "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You", the video was crazy but I'm a big fan of the remix by The Twelves (You got to listen to the beat). I remember I heard the remix first back in October and it started getting a lot of attention on electro blogs like Disco Belle and ever since then I was just waiting for more to leak.

In the beginning of this summer I was playing the hell outta this song, it had sucha chill vibe to it lika perfect summer song should have. This remix however, total switch up, the track goes a lot harder. Legend sounds aight over it, but I love how Andre 3000 sounds over this joint...it's straight fire. Legend actually reached out to MSTRKRFT for the remix.
