I know this is random as hell, but this video had me cracking up the other night. I literally watched it like 12X and was crying laughing by the end. I think what made this video so funny to me was that as I was watching it, that one scene from "Friday" was running through my head where Deebo knocked the hell out of Red. In an effort not to ruin the surprise, I am not going to say anymore; however I included the clip from "Friday" to help recreate my visual experience. Haha!

Design: Wave Hammock

Check out this ill design by Royal Botania - a leader in outdoor luxury. The wave hammock consists of "electro-polished stainless steel and perforated fabric, one type for the upper roof section, and another for the lying section. [It] stands on a single point, giving it its unique floating impression". This definitely meets my standards of comfort. It also doesn't help that the backdrop in all of the pictures features exotic locations where the weather is probably around 65 degrees. Actually scratch that, I have no idea why the last picture features this product in Alaska, with a woman in a bikini. At any rate, I wouldn't mind having one of these in the back of my house.

Artist History You Didn't Know About

So I was having a random convo with one of my young'n friends (I won't name names *ahem*), and I had to school this person on the history of some of these RnB acts. Some people don't know that a lot of RnB individuals have been in the game before they finally blew up. For instance, Bobby Valentino aka Bobby V was somewhat successful in the mid-1990s with a group called Mista, in large part because of the following hit:

And, yes, I do have this Mista album. Hahaha. In fact, that's why Bobby V works with the producers Tim & Bob so much, because of their collaborations with Bobby during the Mista days.


And, then, how can we forget N'Toon?!?! Remember Lloyd when he was with them?? Yes, the same Lloyd who was the lead singer for N'Toon with their one-hit wonder, "Ready". They had another song, but it wasn't as successful. Peep li'l Lloyd in the video:

Lately I have been listening to a lot of Reks, after getting put on by DJ GI Joe and Amanda from HipHopDX. This mixtape dropped about 3 months ago and features guest appearances by heads such as Termanology, Statik Selektah, Consequence, Royce Da 5'9", Skyzoo, CL Smooth, and Lil Fame just to name a few.Definitely check this joint out. If you are feeling Reks, make sure you cop his album entitled "Grey Hairs" which can be purchased on his myspace. That album was definitely one of the best albums I have listened to in a long time and features production from DJ Premier, Large Pro, and Statik Selektah. In my opinion, he is definitely one of the top artists making moves in the game right now. He is set to release his new album "More Grey Hairs" sometime this month. Without further ado...
